Linum usitatissimum

One-year-old flax has upright stems that are branched only at the top.

The flowers are blue and suitable as cut flowers. The branches with round seed pods are used in dried flower arrangements.

Flax fibers are used to make linen. The seeds can be pressed into linseed oil or eaten directly.

Directly sow around April-May. The flowering period is June-July.

Height: 80 cm.

 

Supplied as raw (normal) seed in grams.
Approximately 300 seeds per gram.
