Fragaria vesca (wild strawberry) Alexandria

Fragaria vesca (wild strawberry) Alexandria

The wild woodland strawberry can be used anywhere as ground cover or to fill small corners.

Unlike Fragaria vesca ssp. vesca, this species does not produce runners.

The white flowers appear from April to November, and during this time, we can also harvest the fruits. The strawberries from this proven variety are very aromatic and tasty, and they are slightly more elongated than those of the wild form. Cultivated varieties are nowhere near as flavorful.

It’s great fun for children.
