Alpha is an excellent variety with long, unbranched roots and tasty, tender flesh.

Among vegetables, the overall nutritional value of salsify is only surpassed by peas and beans. It is prepared in a similar way to asparagus. Alpha is easy to peel.

Sowing date: March-April.

 

Supplied as raw (normal) seed in grams.
